TREATMENT PLAN
MEDICAL MASSAGE TREATMENT PLAN
Do I need a Prescription from my Doctor in order to receive treatment?
Although we prefer to treat with a physician’s referral, you do not need a referral to receive treatment. Some insurance companies may provide coverage for medically necessary massage with a physician’s diagnosis and referral. We cannot process medical claims without your physician’s diagnoses including the frequency and duration of treatments.
With or without a physician’s referral, we at clinical massage and cancer care, will treat your musculoskeletal pain directly with modalities that encompass medical massage techniques. This result-driven massage is not usually a full body massage but a Treatment Plan that typically consists of 1 to 2 treatments per week for 3 to 4 weeks.
What happens after reaching the goal of my Treatment Plan?
After reaching the goals of your Treatment Plan, we highly encourage a Chronic Pain Maintenance Plan. Maintenance is encouraged in order to help maintain the quality of life that the treatment phase enabled.
Maintenance requirements are different for everyone. Some clients achieve pain-free maintenance periods of once-a-month, some as frequent as once-a-week! Your therapist will communicate with you and help you discover what is right for you.
